THE MONK AND THE CELL – The story of the desert of Mount Athos.

On Wednesday, April 17, in a conversation with Elder Nektarios from St. Anne's Skete, Fr. John Chryssavgis facilitated an evening of personal stories and experiences from Mount Athos. Elder Nektarios spoke about the Brotherhood of the Ananaioi, whose legacy he continues, and of the Hymnographer St. Gerasimos of Little St. Anne. Members of the HCHC and wider community participated in this unique event organized by the Huffington Ecumenical Institute at HCHC and co-sponsored by the Maliotis Cultural Center of HCHC and the Office of Student Life.
