40-day memorial service for the blessed Ierotheos of Eukarpia

NEW YORK. On the Saturday of Akathisto, April 20, 2024, at the Holy Patriarchal and Crucifix Monastery of Ossias Irini Chrysovalantou, the High Priestly Memorial Mass was held in an emotional atmosphere to mark the completion of forty days since the late Bishop of Efkarpia, Mr. Ierotheos, Abbot of the Monastery.

The Divine Liturgy and the Holy Memorial were presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Sardeon, Mr. Evangelos, supported by the Archimandrites, Mr. Gerasimos Maroulas, Nektarios Bada and Gedeon Varitimos, Hieromonk Mr. Ephraim, Protopresbyters, etc., Apostolos Manoloudis, Georgiou Kostopoulos, and Konstantinos Koumboulis.

Attended by Lord Officials of M.t.X.E. members of the Ecclesiastical Committees and Benevolent Brotherhoods of the Monastery and its Shares and a number of faithful expatriates.

Mr Evangelos spoke with moving words about the late Abbot and then on behalf of the Brotherhood, His Eminence Archimandrite Gerasimos Maroulas spoke, who thanked His Eminence for the celebration of the Divine Liturgy and the Memorial Prayer.

At the end, the president of the historical Association of Aetoloakarnans of New York, Mr. Ioannis Kaltsas, the homeland of the ever-memorial Bishop of Eukarpia, spoke.
